As far as I’m concerned this is one of the best beats ever by one of the best producers ever.  MF DOOM is so wildly underrated as a dual-threat it’s almost painful - here’s a man who’d be an upper-echelon producer even if he’d never touched a mic, but his rapping will always overshadow his talents behind the boards.  Doesn’t help that his best known album was with another producer and that two of his solo albums didn’t have a second of DOOM production.  And that Take Me to Your Leader, one of the best hip-hop albums of the decade, was sold under an alias and only featured a couple verses from DOOM himself.  Here’s a man undermining his own success if there ever was one.
